Bristol ROADS

About the service

DHI is a partner in Bristol ROADS (Recovery Orientated Alcohol and Drugs Service). We run three Community Recovery Hubs in Bristol; in the centre, north and south of the city. Whether you are preparing to make changes, building your recovery or wanting to prevent relapses, at our Community Recovery Hubs you can get free and confidential help.

How we help

How we help

After your assessment, we will work with you and invite you into our Welcome & Action Planning session at any one of our 3 Hubs so you can meet us and we can meet you to discuss what is going to work best for you and set a treatment goal which can include any of the following

• Allocated your own Recovery worker to support you through your journey

• Structured group programme (including abstinence support groups and mutual aid)

• Peer support and training for people wanting to become peers

• Specific groups for people using ‘party drugs’

• Preparation for detox alcohol and/or drugs

• Training to get into employment

We do not provide Out of Hours or emergency support. If you need help in an emergency or outside of our working hours (9am-5pm Monday to Friday), visit our Out of hours help page.

DHI works as part of Bristol ROADS (Recovery Orientated Alcohol and Drugs Service) which is commissioned by Bristol City Council.

ROADS is a partnership between Bristol Drugs Project, Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership and Developing Health and Independence, who together provide general drug and alcohol information and advice for people experiencing problematic use, as well as offering Peer support, detox, residential rehabilitation, assistance getting a prescription, harm reduction and naloxone support and working through one to one support and group support resilience and recovery.
