We're excited to share that Developing Health and Independence (DHI) has been recommissioned to spearhead an array of drug and alcohol treatment services in South Gloucestershire. In collaboration with partners Hanham Health and Southern Brooks, our focus is on delivering person-centred services that respond to evolving local needs.
Commissioned with South Gloucestershire Council, the partnership aims to seamlessly connect individuals to local recovery hubs, GP surgeries, or online support. The initiative, a response to changing service user needs, prioritises harm reduction interventions while empowering users for long-term, sustainable recovery, promoting mental health, and enhancing employment prospects.
Rosie Phillips, CEO of DHI, enthused, "It's not just a bid won; it's an exciting opportunity to work together in a new partnership to deliver a dynamic and accessible treatment service that improves lives."
Councillor Alison Evans, Cabinet Member for Public Health, South Gloucestershire Council, stated, "DHI secured the South Gloucestershire Adult Drug and Alcohol contract after a robust and competitive procurement process. The new contract will drive forward the treatment element of our drug and alcohol strategies, improving outcomes for some of the most vulnerable people in our communities."
With the stability of a long-term contract and the expertise of our partners, we're confident in our ability to evolve and tailor services to meet the unique needs of South Gloucestershire's residents now and in the future.
