Peer Coordinators x 3 (Smoking Cessation)

The Role

We are recruiting a Peer Coordinator for each of the following areas: North Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire to work on our new Smokefree Peer Support Programme.

As a Peer Coordinator, you will play a key role in developing and supporting a network of trained peers—people with lived experience who can inspire and support others on their smokefree journey. You’ll work closely with communities, partners, and local services to ensure support is accessible, inclusive, and tailored to people’s needs. This is a hands-on, people-focused role where no two days are the same.

What you’ll be doing:

• Recruiting, training and supporting a diverse group of peer supporters
• Coordinating peer-led activities such as one-to-one mentoring, group sessions and community drop-ins
• Building strong relationships with local partners, including community organisations, health services and voluntary groups
• Supporting peers to deliver compassionate, trauma-informed and culturally appropriate support
• Ensuring safeguarding, wellbeing and good practice are embedded in all delivery
• Helping people access wider support, including smoking cessation services and wellbeing activities
• Contributing to local campaigns and events that promote smokefree messages
• Monitoring activity, gathering feedback, and sharing learning to improve the programme

Driving is not essential, but you must be able travel around your region.
